Greater Noida, May 8, 2025 – In a decisive move toward fostering awareness and breaking societal taboos, Samsara World Academy, in collaboration with the Bougainvillea Art Foundation, hosted an insightful and empowering Menstrual Hygiene Workshop on May 7, 2025.

The session was led by Nandini Rai, a Menstrupedia-certified menstrual hygiene activist, and Dr. Kaynat Kazi, founder of the Bougainvillea Art Foundation. Together, they created a safe, open, and supportive space for students to learn about menstruation, understand the physiological changes it brings, and adopt healthy hygiene practices.

Menstrual health is a vital yet often overlooked aspect of a young person’s well-being. Workshops like this not only dispel myths but also equip students with the confidence and knowledge to manage their health proactively.

A Workshop That Inspired and Educated

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who engaged freely in discussions and activities.

  • Nandini Rai, drawing on her extensive experience, addressed the biological aspects of menstruation, safe hygiene practices, and the use of menstrual products. Her approachable style and interactive methods encouraged students to ask questions without hesitation.
  • Dr. Kaynat Kazi, known for her advocacy in social and cultural causes, explored the socio-cultural dimensions of menstruation. She emphasized destigmatizing periods and urged students to embrace this natural process with confidence. Her presence reinforced the Bougainvillea Art Foundation’s commitment to holistic community development and youth empowerment.
